Vertraʼs Keanu Asing claims the Nike 6.0 Pier Pressure Junior Pro

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 July, 2009 : - - In marginal 1-2 foot surf an International field of top junior competitors threw their best efforts in gaining valuable qualification points for the 2010 Billabong World Junior Championships in Narrabeen, Australia. Keanu Asing rode to glory at the Southside of Surf City USAʼs Huntington Beach Pier, the same venue as the upcoming Hurley US Open of Surfing in July.

The style master Dillon Perillo finished in a close 2nd, and it was a real battle between these two competitors for the win.  It looked as if Keanuʼs (13.00) timing was just a bit more in sync with the waves that allowed him to get that edge over Perillo (11.00)

This is sure to be a big confidence booster for both athletes coming up into the next Nike 6.0 Jr Pro during the US Open of Surfing.  These two surfers have been incredibly consistent and have already chalked up brilliant results in the first half of 2009.  We will all be sure to see more high performance match ups between Ewa Beachʼs Keanu Asing and Malibuʼs Dillon Perillo!  Great job guys! ...the future is covered.
