Blabac's take on skateboarding goes far beyond DC
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 August, 2009 : - - With the Blabac Book and limited edition shoe officially hitting retailers and the DC online Store this week, we launched a new minisite at dcshoes.com/blabac created specifically for the unique project.
Just as he was with the creation of the 224 page book and limited edition shoe, Blabac was extremely hands on with the creation of this minisite. Expect very extensive galleries that only begin to dive into Blab’s extensive catalog of skateboarding photography, with each image presented in a super premium manner… think of it as a huge gallery show on the web. An extensive career timeline was also created, documenting Blab’s evolution from the Midwest to the streets of SF with Mad Circle to LA with Girl/Chocolate to the last 10 years as DC’s staff photographer. Blabac chat with Grant Brittain of The Skateboard Mag, now live at dcshoes.com/blabac.We also used this project as an opportunity to sit down for some video interviews with some of skateboarding’s most influential. A series of videos on the Blabac minisite sees chats with the likes of Skin Phillips, Grant Brittain, Ryan Smith, and Scott Johnson. Additionally, the site has more info on the unique details of the actual products associated with this project: the book and shoe. And, of course, we’ve got info on how you can score these products before they're snatched up and sold out forever.
