Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 1 September, 2009 : - - Polish Janek Korycki has won the 3rd edition of the Polish Surfing Challenge - the official Polish Surfing Championship held by the Polish Surfing Association.
Although it's very difficult to organize any surfing event at the Baltic Sea as the swell good enough for surfing is a rare occasion , the organizers were lucky again and during the 9-day period managed to run all qualifying heats and the finals.
Events such as Polish Surfing Championship show there are more and more people interested in surfing in Poland and though the country has no access to the ocean and it's very difficult to fit in the the right conditions to surf at the Baltic Sea, the group of enthusiasts proved again that it is possible to surf in Poland.
