Biggest waves in Australian competitive history comes to life this Sunday at 1PM on Channel 10

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 October, 2009 : - - Port Noarlunga, South Australia -- Just over one month ago, August the 27th to be precise, the largest swell event in 2009 made its way over 3000 km from the Indian Ocean and hit and offshore reef, somewhere of the coast off South Australia.

It just so happened that this massive swell coincided with the waiting period of the Fantastic Noodles Intense Wave Invitational 09. This historic event took eight of Australasia top junior big wave chargers right out of their comfort zone,  throwing them into to surf that has be called as the biggest ever surfed in Australian competition history.

The event will be the feature for the next two weeks as apart of Channel 10's new series Next Wave, which has followed the rise and fall of some of Australia's top up and coming junior surfers. Steve Reddy, Surfing South Australia's Chief Executive Officer is thrilled that it can be showcased through out Australia.

"This event was by far the most exciting concept in modern surfing history and we think that it will change the stakes for competitive surfing right through out the world"  Said Reddy "We are thrilled that Fantastic Noodles have helped put this together, which will make for some very exciting viewing for all Australians this Sunday at 1pm on Channel 10"

Next Wave airs Sundays on Channel 10 at 1PM nationally, for further details log on to fantasticsurfing.com.
