Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge Final 2009 calls a lay day
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 October, 2009 : - - Keramas River Mouth Bali -- Perfect small waves at Keramas river-mouth in Bali today, but not quite big enough for round two of the Oakley Pro Junior Global Challenge Final 2009. In waves that most contests would dream of, this event is holding its nerve awaiting bigger waves as it moves into the elimination rounds.
Competitors relished the opportunity to free surf the super fun surf and will now reconvene tomorrow morning expecting to see the leading edge of a new swell brewing way down south in the Indian Ocean. There’s every chance organizers will aim for round two and round three tomorrow, depending of course on maximizing quality conditions.
Round Two: 1st and 2nd to round three; 3rd eliminated and placing equal 17th $US1500 Heat 1: Alejo Muniz (BRA), Clay Marzo (HAW), Noa Deane (AUS) Heat 2: Charly Martin (FRA), Dillon Perillo (USA), Mustofa Jeksen (IND)
