Boardrider TV, skaters explore Israel & euro force Brazil

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 October, 2009 : - - It’s a sweet mix of content in this episode as we start things off with a deluge of barrels from the shores of Hawaii as Pipeline unloads overhead. From there we cross oceans to the continent of Africa and the country of Israel, where some of the European skate team have gathered to unearth some new spots.

Despite it’s gnarly histroy and current political climate, Israel’s cities are just like any other: littered with attractive street spots. The likes of Javier Mendizabel, Dominik Dietrich, Manuel Margreiter, Conhuir Lynn, Nachete Morata, Daniel Cardone and Ross McGouran joined up to go searching. They hit up a couple of street spots, a concrete park in Tel Aviv and even a few ghetto setups.

They even take some time out and bob around the Dead Sea for a bit. Daniel Cardone finishes things off by climbing into a massive full pipe and doing what he does best.The final segment of the episode jets of to South America, where the WCT heads to the southern tip of Brazil for the Santa Catarina Pro. The women are hot and the weather is cold as the first rounds get underway.

The european guys have had mixed results in the first few contests and are all hoping to consolidate their positions in the top 44 with a solid finish as the WCT heads into it’s second half. It’s all about staying focused and taking it one heat at a time.

Performing consistently at the very top levels of competitive surfing clearly requires more than just skill. The finest in skateboarding and surfing from African and beyond on episode 19 of Boardriders TV Premiering on SuperSport 1 at 6pm.
