ASL joins The Search

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 October, 2009 : - - As the penultimate event on the ASP World Tour gets under way, so does Australia’s Surfing Life’s coverage of the Rip Curl Search Peniche, Portugal. A huge swell is on its way, accompanied by a gnarly North Atlantic storm, one of the best sandbanks in the world lays in wait, numerous perfect beachies and points abound in surrounding areas … oh, and the World Title kind of hangs in the balance.

Australia’s Surfing Life Editor, Tim Fisher, is on-site, online and in form, bringing you his point of view of the traveling circus that is the Rip Curl Pro Search. Two blogs deep, with the trials complete and a lay-day called, there is behind the scenes action, the world’s best surfers on waves rarely seen and some unique insights into the surf town of Peniche, Portugal.

With the competition looking to start today (about 6pm AEDT), log onto surfinglife.com.au for the blogs, up-to-date news, links to the live action and general wordsmithery you have come to expect from Australia’s Surfing Life’s World Tour coverage.

About Australia’s Surfing Life: From humble backyard beginnings in 1985, Australia’s Surfing Life (ASL) has grown into Australia’s biggest selling and most popular surf magazine now boasting eight media channels which connect ASL daily with Australian surfers of all ages and abilities. From sponsorship of surf schools and grass-root events, through to World Tour event media partnerships, high quality surf films and a mobile phone/widget breaking news service ASL is breaking new ground in surf media.
