Toes Teamrider Kai Sallas Takes 1st at ASP Oxbow Longboard Contest

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 November, 2009 : - - Newport Beach, Calif. (November 2, 2009) – Classic surf brand Toes on the Nose teamrider, Kai Sallas, took first at the ASP Oxbow Longboard contest at Pasta Point in the Maldives, Sunday, November 1, 2009. 
 
Sallas took on Australasia's Harley Ingelby in the final minutes of an intense back and forth; the final scores reading 15.65 to 14.00.

“We are so excited for Sallas,” said Toes on the Nose president, Richard Allred. “He is just pushing the sport to a new level.”
 
From the shores of Waikiki, 28-year-old Sallas has been surfing for nearly two decades. He is the 2005 Converse Hawaiian Open champion; the 2006 Central Surf Tuberiding Contest, Puerto Escondido, Mexico champion; and the 2009 ASP North American champion.
