Rusty teamrider adds Franch Open Champion title to his repetoire

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 6 November, 2009 : - - After being crowned ISA European Champion in Jersey, Vincent Duvignac continues with securing the French Open Champion title in Lacanau.

The Final: A 30 minute show in clean waves, offshore and barrels. Finalists; Duvi, Adrien Toyon (Reunion Island), Basque, Romain Lauhlé and the local Adrien Valero. The final began gently, surfers chose the intermediate sets which were opening a bit more. Toyon, Lauhlé, & Duvi battled for the 1st place while Adrien Valero seemed to have more difficulties.

15 minutes from the end, a set geared more to go. and start right on time to become a barrel machine. Duvi starts with a 1st barrel rated 9.50pts. He comboed Adrien Valero and took the lead. Then Lauhlé also found a deep barrel and score…….9.75pts. Still a good score, but not enough for Lauhlé to be first. Duvi seemed to master the art of barreling slightly better and managed to find one at 8 points to win in the most beautiful way. Toyon is 3rd and Valero is 4th.
