Quiksilver Jetty Surf Pro Junior

Gold Coast, Australia
3 - 7 January 2010

Winners get wild card into Quiksilver Pro Trials on the Gold Coast

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 November, 2009 : - - Coolangatta -- Australasia’s top Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP)  pro junior surfers have an added incentive to win next year’s Quiksilver Jetty Surf Pro Junior, the opening event to the 2010 ASP Australasian 12 event Pro Junior season.

The Pro Junior Men’s division winner at the Quiksilver Jetty Surf will receive a wild card spot into the Quiksilver Pro Trials on the Gold Coast next February. The Quiksilver Pro Trials on the Gold Coast is run one day prior to the Quiksilver Pro ASP World Tour event and see’s 16 specially selected surfers compete for one wild card position into the Quiksilver Pro.

That wild card slot goes into the Quiksilver Pro with a low seeding and therefore will be lining up in the opening rounds against the likes of Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson and Kelly Slater.

Young aspiring Australasian Pro Juniors surfers like Jordi Watson (NSW), Davey Cathels (NSW), Jack Freestone (Qld) along with local Victorian surfers including Mitch Baker (Phillip Island) and Harrison Mann (Torquay) will now not only be looking to begin their Pro Junior season in the best possible way at the Quiksilver Jetty Surf Pro Junior, they’ll be eye-balling a chance in a life time shot at a wild card into the Quiksilver Pro.

The event begins Sunday January 3rd with an event time frame running through to Thursday January 7th 2010.
