Body Glove’s Nate Yeomans Wins the O'Neill Cold Water Classic

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 November, 2009 : - - Redondo Beach -- Congratulations to Body Glove team rider Nate Yeomans on winning the O’Neill Cold Water Classic. Yeomans killed it in the 6-star Prime WQS event at Steamers Lane in Santa Cruz on Sunday in solid overhead northwest swell.

“I can’t believe it,” Yeomans said. “This is the biggest result of my career and I’m speechless. I’ve been winning 2-Stars for too long and it was time for a big 6-Star win. To have my name up there with all of the great surfers who have won this event over the years is amazing.”

The San Clemente native claimed the top spot in the final over Australia’s Heath Joske and worked his way through a stacked field of local and international surfers. Yeomans dominated the final heat posting a solid 15.33 heat total. The victory brings his points total to 12,925 and shotguns Yeomans into the #8 spot on the WQS ratings, giving him a great opportunity to qualify for the 2010 ASP World Championship Tour.
