Why yes, he is a freaky San Clemente guy...

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 November, 2009 : - - Patrick Gudauskas, is one of those freaky guys coming from San Clemente. First surfer to have ever complete a Rodeo Clown in a contest in the history, he gonna be resident of the upcoming tour. Freaksurf Mag caught him for a quick chat after The Rip Curl Pro Search to have his feeling about this beautifull Search and the new Tour. Patrick Gudauskas another freaky guy on tour next year.

Freaksurf Mag : You're qualified for the ASP Word Tour 2010, Tanner is not so far, it would be great to see two californian brothers on the Dream Tour next year, after the Lopez, the Gudauskas !

Patrick Gudauskas : Yeah it would be great to have Tanner qualify this year with me, he´s certainly surfing good enough, andIi think the CT waves really suit his style of power and airs mixed. We are just pumping up for the next few QS events and Hawaii, and feel comfortable heading to those places!

FSM : The Rip Curl Pro Search Portugal is your third contest on the Dream Tour this year, what's your opinion on this event ?

PG : The Rip Curl pro was amazing, just seeing how they run the whole thing, it's the Big Show! The crowds were the best thing ever, probably my favorite part about being at those contests. The portuguese people are the most enthusiastic humans for surfing i have ever seen, it was a bummer to see Tiago loose early, because he would have brought even more people to watch and cheer exciting stuff to compete and surf in front of them all!

FSM : What do you think about Supertubos wave ?

PG : Supertubos is a classic wave. it's thumpy and hollow with tons of energy. I absolutely love that style of wave, so i was thrilled to catch it bigger and good.

FSM : Men and women are on the same Search for the first time ?

PG : I didn´t realize it was a first time for the women and men to be together. But I think it's great, it's one of my favorite events cause it's so exciting with a new location. I'm sure the women would feel the same way. And they seemed really positive on all the different locations around Peniche.

FSM : The Ocean & Earth Movistar 2 stars is epic this year better than the WCT pro Search, if you have the choice between an epic 2 stars contest and a small condition WCT one, what do you choose?

PG : Haha that is a tough one. i always prefer to surf good waves over bad.. but CT is an experience in itself. iIwould be undecided on that one haha.

FSM : Your opinion for the new World Tour ?

PG : I think it sounds like the new tour could be good. more money for the surfers and better waves... two things i think no one is mad about. I'm looking forward to being apart of it all and sticking it to some of the big named guys.

FSM : Are we gonna see a Rodeo Clown next month ?

PG : You never know when the rodeo is gonna come out. For myself, it's a trump card if i need to bring it out, or if i am feeling psyched to throw it. I love doing them cause they get the crowd stoked, so i wouldn´t say it's far off that i´ll do one soon!!
