Printpoint Queensland Masters Surfing Circuit
Gold Coast, Queensland
14 - 15 November 2009

Day-One Of The Printpoint Queensland Masters Surfing Circuit Event-Three Concludes

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 November, 2009 : - - North Stradbroke Island, Queensland -- North Stradbroke Island’s Main Beach (Queensland, Australia) delivered incredible 1m conditions on day-one of the third and final event of the 2009 Printpoint Queensland Masters Surfing Circuit, with the state’s finest O/28 competitors revelling in the reeling waves.

Running from November 14-15, state crowns and selection in the Queensland team is on the line across six (male) divisions including O/28, O/35, O/40, O/45, O/50 and O/55, with champions decided based on competitors’ best two-of-three results throughout the three-event series.

The blockbuster showdown in the O/35’s division lived up to the billing with title contenders Paul Buratowski (Currumbin), Mark Richardson (Currumbin), Dean Hall (Miami) and Chris Brooks (Currumbin) all advancing through to the semi-finals, setting up a mouth-watering final day decider.

Meanwhile, Paul Ward (Coolangatta) has one hand on the coveted XXXX Summer Bright Lager ‘Wave of the Weekend’ prize of four cartons of XXXX’s refreshing new drop, after he registered an impressive 9.23 ride (out of a possible 10) on his way to the final of the O/28’s division.

When competition in the 2009 Printpoint Queensland Masters Surfing Circuit resumes tomorrow, the first heats of the day will be the much publicised O/35 men’s semi-finals, which will undoubtedly be a series highlight as competitors fight for the prestigious 2009 state title in their respective division.

State champions and Queensland team selection will be decided tomorrow as the finals in all six divisions conclude. The Printpoint Queensland Masters Surfing Circuit is proudly supported by Printpoint, XXXX Summer Bright Lager, WAECO, Stradbroke Ferries, Stradbroke Island Holidays and Surfing Queensland.
