King O’ Jax Surf Challenge

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 November, 2009 : - - Hurry! Voting for the King O’ Jax Surf Challenge will end November 25th at 5:00 pm. The top 16 surfers who receive the most votes on the website will be entitled to surf in the competition. In addition, the surfer who is received the most votes for King O’ Jax will earn a paid entry fee.
The other 15 surfers must pay the $100 entry fee in order to surf, there will be alternates standing by if anyone backs down from the challenge. Each surfer will surf 5 times in a man on man scenario and no eliminations. Each round the competitors will select from 16 custom playing cards. The surfers who pull a red suited card will chose their opponent for the round from a surfer with a black suited card. The winner of each man on man will add $50 to their bank roll. In addition, each surfer’s top wave from all 5 rounds will be tallied into one sum.
The surfer with the highest point total through 5 rounds will earn an additional $100.00. The 16 surfers will be ranked according to the number of registered voters submitted prior to the November 25th deadline. There will be plenty of food and activities on site and the contest will be broadcasted by Surf-ThePier.com via internet.
The after party will be hosted by Paco’s Mexican Grill and is open to the general public. The party will include free food and drinks for competitors, drink and tacos specials, live music and raw event footage. Those who registered to vote, and selected the winner as their King O’ Jax pre event will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a Surf Trip getaway provided by Nosara Paradise Rentals (please be prepared to present your website user name and password to verify).
Other donations can be made at Paco’s Grill to be entered into other drawings for a chance to win a surf trip donated by Surf Sanctuary, surfboards, surf gear, and other cool prizes!
