Coreban International Stand Up Paddle Surfing Championships- Final Results

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 December, 2009 : - - The prestigious Coreban International SUP series, presented by AAD Nissan & Battery Energy Drinks is officially over and is being rated by competitors as one of the best watersports events to date. After 4 days of intense SUP Endurance racing, wave riding, surf slalom, speed sprints and Canal Racing at different venues, the official results were announced.

As the crowd filled main stage at V&A Waterfront amphitheater, Big wave surfer and Travel Guru, Greg Bertish was officially announced the overall winner of the 2009 Series. Ladies overall results after 5 events resulted in an amazing tie 1st between Karina Figl from Austria and Gabi Ott from Denmark

The final day saw perfect weather, no wind and spectacular racing with athletes from 5 countries battling it out for first place through the heart of Cape Town City, beneath the streets and around the city’s canals allowing this to be one of the most unique SUP events in the world.
