Ergo Amateurs recognized at the 2010 Damn Am Awards
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 8 February, 2010 : - - Lakewood, NJ -- With continued support and success amongst buyers and media at ASR, ERGO has steadily gained recognition from the industry, not only as a fresh new brand to retailers, but also as a company with a solid plan, marketing strategy and strong team athletes.
During the recent 2010 Damn Am Awards, held at the Tum Yeto HQ during ASR, four ERGO riders were recognized by the skateboard industry. One of the most prestigious awards of the night went to ERGO Am, Shawn Hale, for 'Most Improved'. Shawn was also nominated and runner-up for the 'Zumiez Overall Destroyer Award'.
Also walking away with an award was recently signed ERGO Am, David Loy, for ‘Done Growed Up,’ along with a nomination for 'Just for Showing Up'; Andrew Cannon for ‘Most Entertaining;’ and Norman Woods for ‘Best Black Dude.’ In addition to the Damn Am award, Norman will make his debut appearance on FUEL TV’s “The Daily Habit”, airing today, Monday, February 8, 2010.
“The past few months have been amazing for ERGO – our product is dialed and we have developed a solid skate program with a rad group of guys,” says ERGO Co-founder and VP of Marketing, Pete DiSpirito. “Its amazing to see Shawn Hale come so far - he was the first guy to ever ride for our brand and we couldn't be more psyched for him.
We are also excited for Norman Woods, growing up in Hollywood, he has that bigger-than-life personality that is perfect for TV - we can’t wait to see his segment on ‘The Daily Habit’ today.” The show will air today, Monday, February 8 at 6:00pm (PST) and again at 9:00pm (PST). It will also re-air twice the next day February 9 at 11:30am (PST) and finally at 2:30pm (PST).
