Nike 6.0 Cash for Tricks Alert: Event Starts this Afternoon at Zarautz, Finals Tomorrow

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 4 September, 2010 : - - Zarautz, Euskadi/Basque Country, Spain – The Nike 6.0 Cash for Tricks Zarautz, final event on this year’s ASP Europe Specialty Series, will kick-off this afternoon in the Basque Country with Round 1 and Semifinals scheduled and the grand Finale planned for tomorrow Sunday.

Held within the waiting period of the prestigious ASP 6-Star San Miguel Pro pres. by Euskaltel currently experiencing some excellent surf conditions in the four-to-five foot range (1.5 meter), the 6.0 Cash for Tricks Zarautz will run around 5 PM today after today’s ASP 6-Star action is wrapped-up, for another much anticipated clash of aerial specialists.

“The swell picked-up yesterday and the waves got really clean and consistent so we’re looking forward to kicking-off the first rounds of this year’s final 6.0 Cash for Tricks,” event manager Andy Higgins said.

With the usual thousands of surf fans expected to hit the Basque town of Zarautz for the weekend, the 6.0 Cash for Tricks Kick-off added to the business-end of the ASP 6-Star men’s event will set the beachfront on fire today.

See below confirmed list of athletes and alternate list in order.

The 6.0 Cash for Tricks Zarautz will be webcast LIVE at www.aspeurope.com
