Gaby Escudero will try to claim the event once again this year
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 November, 2014 - Isabela, Puerto Rico - The 26th Edition of the Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit kicked-off today at Middles Beach in Isabela, Puerto Rico with a warm-up session for all participating surfers that will be in the event this weekend.
This event will close the 2014 circuit, where local surfer Gaby Escudero will try to maintain his title championship from last year’s edition. The 26th Edition of the Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit has $37,000 in prizes.
“We are very happy to have the support of all local and international surfers that have confirmed their participation in the event and that are here today for the warm-up session prior to the start of the competitions tomorrow morning. We are also very grateful to our sponsors, especially to the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and AT&T.” said Joseph Magruder, Corona’s Brand Director in Puerto Rico.
The tournament officially starts tomorrow, Saturday the 22nd at 8:00 am with the preliminaries competition. On Sunday, November 23rd, the quarter finals and the final on both male and female categories will also start at 8:00 am.
As part of the event, activities and entertainment will be held at Surftown in Jobos’ Beach after the competition. Admission to Surftown is free-of-charge. Corona has also charged its Eco Friendly Chillin’ Crew to educate visitors to maintain the beach clean.
