Event organizers will reconvene tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. to assess conditions and make the next call.
"We've had amazing conditions so far this event," said Kieren Perrow, WSL Commissioner. "The wind is perfect again this morning but there's no swell so we will be off for the day and we'll come back tomorrow morning. We are looking at a swell building in through the night tonight so when we wake up tomorrow we're expecting some pretty decent sized waves. I'm looking forward to a couple of exciting days coming up."
Surfline, official forecaster for the WSL, are calling for:
Small leftovers from the SSW prevail Tuesday as wind remains favorable in the morning. Yet another significant swell will build through the day on Wednesday, peaking over the afternoon, before easing slowly on Thursday. Morning wind conditions look favorable both days. At this point we expect to see the surf slowly trend down from Friday through Sunday as local wind remains favorable.
