Point Break Indonesia and Billabong cut ribbon on new store

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 May, 2015 - Bali - In partnership with PT. Point Break Indonesia, Billabong announces the opening of its new concept store at Big Mall Samarinda.

Located near the edge of the Mahakam River, Samarinda is known as a cultural urban city with a largely growing youth local market, which is most fitting of the brand’s vision of “inspiring youth”.

Similar to Billabong’s physical stores in Australia, this 88m2 space is fitted with the brand’s new retail visual identity. The store interior is made up of a generous blend of solid wood and faux brick texture walls to help channel the vernacular and edge of the surf lifestyle.

New fixtures and panels have also been introduced to Samarinda, to not only play home to Billabong’s award-winning Mens and Womens campaigns marketing (#LifesBetterInBoardshorts and #ABikiniKindaLife) but also a myriad of the brand’s best selection of garments and accessories.

"We are extremely proud of the opening of the first Billabong store in Samarinda” said Mr. Catur Prastyo, General Manager of PT Point Break Indonesia. He adds “Along with the strong partnership we have with the brand, we are even more excited to be unveiling more mono brand concept stores with the brand across Indonesia in the near future.

In celebration of the store’s opening, Billabong will be giving away a free cap to the first 50 customers with any minimum spend of RP.499.000.

Billabong Samarinda is located at Big Mall Samarinda UG Floor/051, Jl Untung Suropati No.08 RT.18 Samarinda, East Borneo and is open from 10am – 10pm daily.
