Surftech works with Appleby for custom SUP shape

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 September, 2014 - Surftech's Candice Appleby made it a clean sweep, winning the sprint and distance races at last weekend's Stand Up World Series event in Huntington Beach, CA. With a 3rd place in the SUP surf competition and 1st in the race series, Candice earned herself the Stand Up World Tour Huntington Beach Grand Slam title on her 12'6" Signature Bark race board.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing what Salt Creek serves up for the BOP," Appleby said. "I love racing in the waves and I've been training hard and feeling good, so it should be a lot of fun. I'm going to miss the "M" shaped course that puts us in and out of the surf several times, but I have a feeling that the dumping barrels of Salt Creek will make up for it. I've got great equipment and a new mind set on competing, so it should make for a great race!"

A redesigned shape for 2014, Candice Appleby worked with Joe to update the acclaimed 12'6" Appleby Race. One inch narrower in the center, and shedding unneeded volume, Bark and Appleby refined this down to be the go-to board for all racing categories. Demand complete performance.

The collaboration between Bark and Surftech began years ago bringing together innovative designs and state of the art construction technology to create superior Paddleboards and Stand Up Paddleboards. The 2015 Bark Surftech line includes high performance race, downwind, touring, paddleboards and many other new boards.
