‘The Hunt for Hipmasama’ released online

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 January, 2015 - The long awaited online release of the unique award winning surf film, ‘The Hunt for Hipmasama’, has arrived. From today the film will be available online free of charge thanks to film sponsors Oakley, C Skins, Dry Robe and Fourth Surfboards.

The 35 minute film is a culmination of 8 years of surfing and exploring the cold islands surrounding the UK for a mysterious wave that surfer Oli Adams first spotted online. Armed with only the online pseudo name of the person who posted the photo Oli set out on the epic journey to find the wave and the elusive ‘Hipmasama’. What Oli discovers and the un-surfed waves he finds along the way, is truly inspiring.

The footage was filmed mostly by friends or by Oli himself on his GoPro and was edited entirely by Oli , who taught himself the editing process along the way, which gives the film a raw, real, quality.

‘The Hunt for Hipmasama’ recently won the ‘Best British Surf Film’ award at the prestigious London Surf Film Festival and also was selected to feature in the ‘Kendal Mountain Festival’.

Oli Adams … “I am so happy to finally be able to release my film. It has been a long time coming, I have learnt so much along the way and I just hope that people watching enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the journey”
