Eric Geiselman wins Billabong Junior Pro, Sebastian Inlet
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 07 March 2005: - - Conditions: 1-2 Feet and regular formation. Variable light winds and sunny. Highlights: New Smyrna local and Billabong Junior Pro winner Eric Geiselman had a really good day. He was surfing faster than his peers, one of the reasons why he won the event. His frontside snaps and nose digging gouges earned him one of the highest scoring waves of the day (8.17 Points). Job well done Eric!
One other surfer who's been turning heads on contests all around is Puerto Rican Brian Toth. He had the highest scoring wave of day (8.33 Points). His fast backhand snaps and reentries got him as far as the Semis. Brian Toth and Melbourne Beach's Eddie Gilbeau shared third place.
Melbourne Beach's Connie Arias won $900 for her first-place effort in the women's division, while Amy Nichol of New Smyrna Beach finished second. Defending champion Christa Alves of Cocoa Beach finished third, while Melbourne Beach's Ashley Bobb placed fourth.
Congratulations to all surfers and to Billagong for putting up such a good event with awsome webcasting.
Small conditions for Billabong Junior Pro, Sebastian Inlet
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 06 March 2005: - - Conditions: 1-2 Feet and regular formation. Variable light winds and sunny. Highlights: Puerto Rican Wesley Desouza had an 8.0 on his best scoring wave with great and radical back hand attack, throwing two big snaps to get the excellent score. Also, Huntington Beach local Brett Simpson had the highest wave combination (15.50 pts) and the highest single score (8.15 pts). Simpson displayed an inovative repertoir throwing buckets of water on his snaps and off the lips combo.
All predictions show for a better day tomorrow. As we are expecting to get 2-4 feet waves and the winds to come off shore.
