etnies team rider Chris Del Moro recently completed the 2011 TransparentSea Voyage
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 9 November, 2011 : - - Amsterdam -- A constant advocate for the environment, etnies team rider Chris Del Moro recently completed the 2011 TransparentSea Voyage from Santa Barbara, Calif. to Baja, Mexico to highlight coastal environmental issues. He was part of a small crew of eight surfers, artists, musicians and environmentalists who took a journey down the California coast to follow the migration of the California Grey Whale.
As part of TransparentSeas overall campaign to raise awareness of coastal environmental issues, with particular attention given to cetaceans (whales and dolphins), the 2011 TransparentSea Voyage was the organizations second journey.
The planet truly is Chris Del Moros playground and earlier this year he traveled to Costa Rica to plant the first trees in the etnies rainforest as part of the Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree project.
Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree: The planting of one tree for every pair of the etnies Jameson 2 Eco shoes sold will help rebuild the worlds rainforests, which provide more than a quarter of the oxygen to the world. Costa Ricas pledge of carbon neutrality and its natural habitat made the country a perfect partner for etnies reforestation project.
