Quiv Exchange launches to buy, sell or trade surf gear

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 14 September, 2015 - Egg Harbor, New Jersey - Andrew Schulz was finishing up his first year at Florida Institute of Technology as a Civil Engineering major when he realized that this was not the job for him.

The Egg Harbor Township native wanted to launch a career doing something he’s passionate about, but wasn’t sure what that would be.  One day, Andrew, an extreme sports enthusiast, realized he had no use for a pair of old skis.  What he really wanted to do with them was trade them in for a new surfboard.  But, there was no place to conduct such a trade.  It was then that Quiv Exchange was born.

Quiv Exchange is a website where users across the world can easily buy, sell or trade their quiver (equipment) for any extreme sport – including surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and skiing.  While there are other websites out there to buy and sell goods, Quiv Exchange is specialized and focuses just on these sporting items – allowing buyers and sellers to directly tap into their desired audience.  But users also have another option – trading gear.

The website allows users to strike a deal in which equipment is traded for other equipment – a simple and convenient process thanks to Quiv Exchange.  Even better – if a user negotiates a sale or trade in their own local area, they can easily meet up with the other trader to make the transaction rather than pay costly shipping rates, which can often be a big downside to buying or selling extreme sports equipment online.  Quiv Exchange is not competition for local surf and ski shops – but yet a worldwide outlet for them to be a contributor.  Any and everyone, including businesses, are welcome to list their items for sale.

The Quiv Exchange website was launched in August of 2015 – eight months after Andrew’s bright idea.  The 20 year old Egg Harbor Township resident has some help in making this dream a reality.  His father, John D’Angelo, brother Steffen Schulz, and step-brother Michael D’Angelo all believe in Andrew’s entrepreneurial debut and have all dedicated time and money towards his vision.  Andrew’s best friend, Jonah Surman and his father Steve Surman are also investors.

They all believe that Quiv Exchange has what it takes to make it big.  Currently, there are more than 200 users signed up on Quiv Exchange, and that all happened in just a few weeks.  As word continues to spread in local and global markets about this quick and easy way to buy and sell extreme sports equipment, the site will only get bigger and better for users.

As the site’s audience grows, Quiv Exchange investors hope to make money by selling advertising on the page. Until then, they will be spreading the word and participating in events that will gain exposure for this unique concept, targeting those who share the same passion for extreme sports as Andrew.
