New longboard fins from FCS removable without screw, plate, or tool
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 June, 2015 - Huntington Beach, California - Today Surf Hardware International announced the release of their new longboard fins, featuring "FCS II Tool-Less" technology.
In a press release Tuesday the company said: "Having been in development for some time, the new longboard fins have already proved successful. Harley Ingleby recently won his second WSL World Longboard Tile using the technology that features a wear resistant barrel & corrosion-resistant titanium pin all housed within a specially designed cassette that resides in the base of the fins.
“The titanium rod and barrel mechanism is the secret to the new fins, effectively holding the fin securely in place by engaging the recess in the fin box.”
It’s simple to use, adaptable to most fin boxes on the market, yet effective in maintaining the fins position in the board. Along with the new technology comes an entirely new longboard fin range. Working closely with some of the LB team riders, FCS is hoping to demystify the confusion surrounding longboard fins by releasing a simplified ‘Essential Series’ LB fin range.
The new FCS II LB Essential Series consists of three unique single fin templates; the CONNECT, PIVOT and the FLOW. Each fin is suited to a different style of longboard surfing, from the fast high performance approach, through to nose riding and a more traditional laid back style.
The FCS II LB connect will hit the market first, followed by the other Essential Series, Athlete and Specialty ranges."
