Jonathan Desprergers of France takes second in Oceanside

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 18 August, 2014 - Jonathan Despergers finished in second place in the World Championships bodysurfing at Oceanside, California, on Sunday. After the title went to Fred David (2012) and the silver medal to Grieumard Paul (2013), a new medal rewarded the talent and work of French bodysurfing.

In Oceanside, near San Diego, California, Jonathan Despergers (Biarritz Coastal Rescue) came close to taking the top step on the podium. He didn't give in to American Mason Turvey, which made the difference, starting on the best wave of the final in the premier class of 25-34 years.

Despergers had yet flown over the competition, including winning his semi-final with the highest point total of the two halves. Just disappointed, the Biarrot acknowledged that "second is not bad too! "

World has unfortunately ended in the quarterfinals for Lalagüe Lucas, engaged in class 18/24 years. Despergers Lalagüe and France represented the United States in terms of their results over the last few months, which have enabled them to be selected for France.
