Industry Updates

New design features glow in the dark paint and wheels that print

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 October, 2014 - The Track is GoldCoast’s newest bright idea in the cruiser department. With a shape inspired by the pool/vert shapes of old and a design that’s a new spin on GoldCoast’s signature aesthetic, this little gem will have you seeing a whole new spectrum of fun.

Print’s Not Dead:
Despite the retro shape and bright colors, The Track’s most distinctive feature is the new 65mm Curb Cuts Wheels that feature a GoldCoast exclusive “Cruiseprint” graphic application on the contact patch.

“It won’t last forever so enjoy it while you can,” said director of product Brock Harris. “Impermanence by design was the whole goal; some of the most beautiful things ever displayed only last for a small but glorious window. Beauty doesn’t last, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth displaying.”

Skate Trippin’:
After creating geometric lines that allude to mini ramps, handrails, and perfect waves, GoldCoast’s designers used negative space to accentuate the contrast of overlaid graphic and stained backdrop. But that’s just half the spectrum of this colorful trip. Topped off with die cut grip tape that features a custom camouflage pattern locked up with GoldCoast’s signature fluorescent orange, The Track stitches colors together like a kaleidoscope.

Perfect for Acid Drops:
You’ll transcend your normal routine, cracking ollies on this time-honored shape with mellow concave and top quality Canadian maple construction.
