An exhilarating day one at the HIF Agnes Water Surfing Festival

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 March, 2014 - The iconic Discovery Coast saw a diverse demographic of exhilarating talent today with divisions from as young as under 12’s (Boys and Girls) to our blue ribbon, open men’s shortboard division put on a display like no other.

Event Director and Media Manager Ben Whitmore said, “This has by far been the most thrilling turn out of competitors and supporters we’ve ever had for this event.” “It really surprised us all the level of talent this year from local surfers, not to mention the vast turnout of support that flooded the beach of Agnes Point,” Whitmore continued.

In particular, it was Christoffer Frollich (South Africa) who really staggered judges, event officials and beach goers with his ability to demonstrate his innovative ability of manoeuvres in the punchy 2ft easterly conditions. “It’s amazing to see the magnetism this event has for competitors from an international level,” said Whitmore.

With similar conditions expected for day two, the event will again be held at Agnes point making for an entertaining and successful finals day finish.
