Lakey Peterson

Santa Barbara, California

Lakey is known for her athleticisim and ability to take to the air. At only 14 years old, she was the first female to do an air in competition, taking the NSSA Open Women’s Title. Lakey was awarded a wild-card spot in the 2011 US Open where she received runner-up, and continued to blaze through the year by winning every North American Pro Junior Series event. She joined the world tour in 2012 and ended her rookie year with a win at the US Open. Lakey was featured in the Nike 6.0 women’s surf film Leave a Message, as well as the feature length film Leave A Message, which chronicled her rookie year.
