Mauli Ola Foundation expands plans with help from world's best surfers
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 January, 2012 : - - Moving into its 5th year as a non-profit foundation providing natural therapies for people with genetic disorders, Mauli Ola (MOF) continues to grow and be an important part of the lives of many people living with Cystic Firbosis (CF). The primary mission of the foundation is to provide surf experience days for kids and young adults who have CF (a pulmonary condition that affects the lungs, pancreas and other organs).
The ocean water and air, with its high saline content, helps breakdown the mucus in the lungs, thereby allowing for easier clearance of the mucus and enhanced breathing ability. The foundation has held over 60 surf experience days to date and has introduced surfing to over 600 participants. It is your support that has helped the foundation grow and continue to expand. We thank you!
