Morocco Surfriders opens lodging & lessons
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 December, 2014 - New beach-front surf camp and apartments, ‘Morocco Surfriders’ opens it’s doors with a new ethos in Moroccan surf accommodation in Taghazout
Morocco Surfriders is based right at the water’s edge of a well-known surf break in Morocco. Welcoming surfers and travellers into it’s comfortable accommodation, it is right in the heart of the bustling fishing village of Taghazout known for its relaxed living, year round sun and world class surfing.
Lahcen Jaddour, the owner who has been running surf camps for the last 8 years explains, “The idea behind our surf camp is that we want to make surfing in Morocco easy and hassle free so you can get on with enjoying your holiday."
"We believe it’s all about letting each and every one of our guests have the choice and tailor their holiday around what they would like to get out of staying with us. We pick you up from the airport, settle you into our beach front accommodation. We provide meals, you just need to decide whether to go for a surf or explore our beautiful country”
“You only need to look out your window to check the surf’ explains Lahcen, “One of Morocco’s favourite waves, Hash Point is quite literally on the doorstep.”
There are a variety of waves all in short walking distance ranging from the vast open bay of Panoramas for beginners and intermediate surfers, right up to the world class break of Anchor Point.
“We have our surf camp where we can accommodate anyone from single surfers to large groups. We provide meals and barbeques in front of the surf and there is plenty of living space to mingle with fellow travellers or find a quiet place to get away and read a book. Or for more independent surfers we also have self-contained apartments all right on the water’s edge.”
“If you want to learn to surf our guides are all fully qualified and have extensive local knowledge. No matter what level of surfer you are we can find a wave to suit you, our 4x4 can get to spots most other surfers can’t. We’ll also bring lunch for you too so you can surf as long as you want!”
And there’s plenty more to Morocco than just surfing, we can arrange days out to the beautiful, bohemian Paradise Valley, the famous markets or nights out in the lively city of Agadir
