Drew Brophys art can bring the essence of surf style alive in a wide array of products, said Jack Morrow, Out of the Box President. With the built in universe of surfers, as well as those people who just appreciate surf culture, I see some very exciting licensing opportunities for this brand. Out of the Box will be looking to license several categories including apparel, domestics, footwear, swimwear, sporting goods, backpacks and school supplies.
We chose to work with Out of the Box because of their track record of licensing successes, states Maria Brophy, Vice President of Son of the Sea, Master Licensor of Drew Brophy Properties. We are confident that Jack Morrows experience and expertise will be extremely beneficial to our continued success.
Drew Brophy Properties, based in San Clemente, California, is comprised of his portfolio of original artwork that reflects the vibe and style of surf culture.
Out of the Box, located in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas, was formed in 1999 by Jack Morrow, the licensing executive behind many of the most successful licensing and merchandising programs of past years including such legendary properties as The California Raisins, the Flintstones, Champion and Cigar Aficionado.
As a top executive for some of the countrys leading firms, Morrow has played an integral role in the tremendous growth that the licensing industry has experienced in the past decade. Morrow has also served two terms as president of LIMA (Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association), a non-profit organization of licensors, manufacturers and support organizations.
