Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 October, 2014 - Trigg Beach served up amazing waves for the finalists at the Rip Curl GromSearch presented by POSCA today in Western Australia.  The third stop on a five-event national series, saw over 100 grommets compete across a three day window in six separate divisions.

Yallingup's Kael Walsh and Bailee Hastie (Gracetown) were the standout performers in the premier 16 & Under Boys and Girls divisions, adding their names to previous winners; Jacob Willcox (Margaret River), Creed McTaggart (Margaret River) and Felicity Palmateer (Hillarys, WA).

The pair made the most of the beautiful and consistent 2-3 waves and were too good in an impressive display on the metro beaches.

Since its inception in 1999, the Rip Curl GromSearch has grown into the biggest grom event series in the world. Specifically designed especially for the 16 years and under surfers and aims to provide male and female surfers the opportunity to showcase their talent in a fun and relaxed environment.

At the same time the series provides ‘groms’ with the competitive experience needed for further development in their surfing careers, and has established itself as a major stepping stone in the development of the future stars of world surfing.
