Joel Parkinson and Billabong join forces to help keep Bali clean
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 September, 2014 - World Champion surfer Joel Parkinson and his sponsors Billabong have joined forces to help clean up Bali. They are working together to raise moeny and stop solid waste from getting into the surf, reefs, and beaches by donating a signed 6’2” J.S. Industries surfboard. This Joel Parkinson Signature surfboard will be auctioned by the ROLE Foundation to support it's Island Sustainability Education Centre.
"We are thankful to Joel for donating this collectors signature-signed surfboard to raise money for waste management and environmental assistance projects, education of children in safe waste disposal and the training of environmental ambassadors by ROLE Foundation," Billabong’s Indonesia Manager, Arini Sukmawati said.
"Billabong and Joel are true partners in the fight for healthy rivers, reefs, oceans and beaches for future generations," Sam from the ROLE Foundation said.
