Veteran photographer's images capture electricity of Drug Aware Pro
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 April, 2015 - G'Day from WA, It's been nearly a week of swell here in the south west of Western Australia for the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro and just when you thought it had gone flat, Margaret River roared back to life today with a solid 6'-8' swell for the final of the women's contest.
Courtney Conlogue took out her third win today defeating the defending champ, Carissa Moore in the 40 minute final.
Courtney had won the event back to back when it was still a WQS event and Carissa had won in the two previous years as a WCT; so between the two there was a lot of finals experience going on today.
I've been loading up images as both the men's and women's events have run so there are lots of images in this Gallery from the past week's surfing and also a few shots from the offshore day in the vineyards on only one of the two lay days this contest has had thanks to the great swells.
