Design and the Culture of Board Riding exhibit launches crowdfunding

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 2 July, 2015 - Firewire Surfboards has taken on a role as a lead sponsor along with Main Beach Surf & Sport of Wainscott and Pilgrim Surf Supply of Amagansett and Brooklyn to crowd fund the costs to curate and transport the seminal 'Surf Craft' exhibition from San Diego to the LongHouse Reserve in New York.

"Surf historian Richard Kenvin has assembled an amazing collection of boards from the early 20th century to the present. Even if you don't know anything about surfboards, these marvels of wood, fiberglass and foam stand on their own as works of art." - LA Times

The cost of the exhibit is $38,000, $26,650 of which is covered by our generous benefactors. The remaining $11,350 will be crowd funded by passionate friends and supporters of art, craft, surfcraft, surfing and LongHouse Reserve.
