Adam Pesce's narrative on Papau New Guinea surfing proves popular
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 7 December, 2011 : - - Splinters, the directorial debut of filmmaker Adam Pesce, was among the winners at last night's 2011 Surfer Poll Awards, taking home its Best Documentary prize. The film is the first feature-length documentary about the evolution of indigenous surfing in the developing nation of Papua New Guinea, took the Best Documentary prize at last night's 2011 .
"It is so humbling to be in this room, and a humble ride to make Splinters," Pesce said when accepting his award. "I hope it will start some new conversations in the community about this sport."
