Surfing Victoria Updates

Events will be heading to seven beaches this summer

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 October, 2015 - Torquay - Surfing Victoria announces that the Surfing for Girls presented by GHANDA will be back again in 2015, hitting seven beaches across the state in November and December. The program which has been running for over 16 years is a key component of Surfing Victoria’s strategic direction and a way to encourage stronger female participation in surfing.

Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson, can’t wait to see the next wave of female surfers out in the line up. “This program has proven to be a success over the past 16 years and it really is at the core of surfing.” “We have seen past state champions come through the program and countless of life long surfers. It really is a great program, which can provide benefits well into the future.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing a heap more girls out in the line up ripping!” The program will hit beaches from Warrnambool to Cape Conran with coaches India Payne and Matilda McLellan back to lead the program across the state. Each session is only $20 and includes a day of surfing with all participants receiving a GHANDA T-Shirt and showbag filled with heaps of prizes from sponsors!
