Grambeau gave twelve designers an image to play with

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 5 December, 2013 - Currumbin based adventure photographer Ted Grambeau, with an International photographic career spanning 35 years, has released his first calendar.

As a Limited Edition Calendar for 2014, this unique Photo/Design project is a collaboration with some of the world’s best creatives. TED + FRIENDS involves twelve designers given a month each and total creative freedom to display their signature design talents overlaid on Ted’s photographic images.

The line up includes one of the world’s most celebrated designers, David Carson from USA, described by Newsweek as “the most influential designer of recent time.”

Fellow Gold Coast talent includes Gra Murdoch of White Horses, Claudio Kirac from St.Thomas Studio, Trent Mitchell photographer/designer, and emerging graphic designer Selina Kidd.

Sydney designers include Campbell Milligan the art director for Monster Children, and Shinya Dalby of Stab magazine. Melbourne’s talent is represented by James Taylor - global creative director of Ripcurl International, and Brad Smith, creative director from Blocks Global andStuart Geedes from Chase & Galley design studio. From the UK, Alastair Mitchell of The Potting Shed and from USA Casey Bevington of Oakley. Ted described the project as “A way of celebrating the talent I have had the privilege to work with, as well as revealing the creative depth in our own back yard.”

A limited number of only 250 collector’s editions will be available for sale to the public. This spectacularly-sized 490mm X 490mm calendar allows each design to be framed and saved as a stand alone piece of art. The Calendar will be exclusively available through Ted Grambeau’s web site:
