Kids handed VIP passes to the Gold Coast
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 22 February, 2015 - Coolangatta - Eight Vegemite SurfGroms will be special VIP guests to the Gold Coast next Saturday where they will get a chance to meet and surf with some of world’s top surfers at Snapper Rocks. Quiksilver and Roxy are a proud partner of the Vegemite SurfGroms program and will give the kids an experience dreams are made of.
Vegemite SurfGroms is the world-first national junior surfing program which offers 5-12 olds an opportunity to develop strong ocean awareness and beach safety skills, while also developing a proficiency in surfing. More than 35,000 children across Australia have enjoyed the program since it started in October, 2011.
Every registered participant had a chance to win a ‘money can’t buy’ trip by providing a photo of themselves enjoying the program through the Nikon Coolpix competition.

The prize includes: flights and transfers to Coolangatta Airport for one child and one adult; one night’s accommodation at Coolangatta for one child and one adult; Nikon COOLPIX AW120 camera; a Quiksilver or Roxy merchandise pack; exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Snapper Rocks event site and the opportunity to meet and surf with some Quiksilver and Roxy surfing ambassadors.
