After big 2014 season, log champ Ingleby signs 100% FCS hardware deal

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 28 April, 2015 - Noosa, Australia - Following a very successful 2014 season where he claimed his second WSL World Longboard Title, Surf Hardware International is excited to announce the re-signing of Harley Ingleby to a new multi-year 100% hardware deal.

Besides being one of the world’s most decorated longboarders, Harley is also known for his versatility in the water, his ability to ride any type of surfboard, and his acute knowledge of fin and surfboard design.

Under the new agreement Harley will represent a fully overhauled FCS longboard hardware category, and be championing the new FCS II LB Tool-Less fins which have already proven successful for him.

“I’m honoured to be re-signing with FCS again and helping to grow the updated longboard category. The new Tool-Less fins are amazing, in fact I adjusted my back fin a few times mid heat when I won in China, its super easy and convenient”, said Harley shortly after the ink was dry.

Over the last few years Harley has worked closely with FCS not only on the new Tool-Less fin technology, but also an entirely new LB fin range and an update to his own signature templates.

“I’m pumped on my new FCS II XL tri and quad templates and my new Tool-Less single fin. I tested, refined and re-tested these fins until they delivered exactly what I needed. They’re designed for performance LB’s but they’ll certainly be relevant for other types of boards as well”.

In addition to the fins, there’s also an FCS Athlete Series traction pad as part of the new deal. The new pad, which is specific to longboarding and designed to minimise water resistance, is scheduled for release in the southern hemisphere in 2015.

Harley’s success has helped add to the ever growing statistics. To date 22 WCT victories and 5 WSL World Titles have been won by surfers riding the FCS II system and fins.
