Annual Bradnamís Windows & Doors Agnes Water Surfing Festival will see over 60 competitors

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 29 March, 2012 : - - A magnificent run of swell on the Discovery Coast has surfers from the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bargara, Yeppoon and of course Agnes Water licking their lips ahead of this weekendís Bradnamís Windows & Doors Agnes Water Surfing Festival.
 
Running from March 31 Ė April 1, the annual Bradnamís Windows & Doors Agnes Water Surfing Festival will see over 60 competitors, across 10 different divisions converge on the iconic coastal community of Agnes Water for a fun weekend of competitive surfing. Surfing Queensland Events Manager Adam Yates said with a favourable forecast, entries are still flooding in. 
 
ďThe waves have been great all week in Agnes Water, and it looks like it will continue into the weekend, so weíre hoping that the prospect of surfing on the point has everyone excited for the event,Ē said Yates. ďItís an opportunity for the community including seasoned competitive surfers, novices, surfing judges and officials as well as family and friends to enjoy an event of this calibre in their backyard,Ē he said.
 
The two-day festival is the only one of its kind in the Discovery Coast region and this yearís event will for the first time also offer an Open Womenís Shortboard division, which will join the Open Menís Shortboard and the multiple Longboard divisions available.
 
Adding to the festivalís social atmosphere will be a party night thanks to XXXX Summer Bright Lager, where competitors, spectators, locals and out-of-towners alike can let their hair down at the Agnes Water Tavern on Saturday, March 31 from 7pm onwards.
 
Catering for both males and females, The Bradnamís Windows & Doors Agnes Water Surfing Festival annually attracts surfers from Mackay to Bundaberg and as far away as the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
